IAMG accepts as members: geoscientists, statisticians, and other interested individuals or organizations.

The Association offers two main types of membership: individual and institutional. Individual Members can be Regular Members or Student Members. Any individual interested in the activities of the Association qualifies to be a Regular Member.

Those who have served the IAMG beyond the call of duty may be offered to become Honorary Life Members.

A Student Member needs to be enrolled at a university of acceptable academic standards.

To maintain membership, the annual dues must be paid before January 31 of the year to which they relate. Dues are not refundable.
